Laura Costello on the Role of Advertising in Climate Action

Our Strategy Director, Purpose & Planet, and Purpose Disruptors Ireland Lead, Laura Costello, made to the Oireachtas Committee on Environment and Climate Action this week.

The discussion focused on how Advertising can do less harm and reapply its creative effectiveness toward more life-affirming outcomes in line with a 1.5 degree world. She shared work by Purpose Disruptor’s including the latest Advertised Emissions report which explains how the industry is adding an extra 32% to each individual’s carbon footprint in the UK annually.
