Working as part of our Transformation and Planet services, the role of PR is central to the effectiveness of THINKHOUSE’s overall, integrated services.


Strategic PR Experience

The candidate will demonstrate experience advising senior and middle management clients on their overall comms strategy and PR execution as well as consumer reputational risk management. Thinkhouse’s environment suits the culturally curious, digital native and story-telling pros - our PR leadership extends beyond media relations and our team uses cutting-edge technology to unlock and distribute news stories and unlock opportunities for our clients/brands/campaigns. The role, therefore, is more suited to a digital-first thinker.

The winning candidate will demonstrate a track record of delivering large-scale sports sponsorships and campaigns. They will have the ability to operate at scale, domestically and internationally, across a number of sectors/media groups (specialising in Sport PR as well as advocacy/influencer marketing in the sports space). A growth mindset is essential as you will lead the sports team and all new business and strategic outlooks for this PR stream.

Leadership Skills & Effectiveness

Sports Industry & Team Leadership: You will have leadership experience, and training and be able to demonstrate effective, positive leadership from previous roles. Identifying and recruiting diverse talent is an important part of the role. Strong industry relationships in the sports space is essential. Impressive leadership skills form an important part of the role - representing THINKHOUSE’s view on sporting matters.

Thought Leadership in Sporting matters: You will be responsible for organising thought leadership within the sports industry and driving the agency’s agenda forward in specific areas.

An effective Leader: You will work with the PR team lead and be a direct support to them in the management of the wider team. You will be a media relations pro with a little black book brimming with contacts, you will instil a passion for PR whilst managing some of the day-to-day operations for the team such as workflow management; junior team check-ins and objective setting. Empathy, approachability, encouragement and openness with the team are very important.

Excellent Execution and Management: You will have a track record of keeping clients very happy. Your organisation skills are second to none and you execute results-orientated and brand-centric media relations and influencer strategies. You are an excellent earned-first first thinker, leading large-scale PR campaigns for your clients. You ensure the Account Managers and Account Executives have the CPAs, daily reports, influencer contracts, briefs and coverage books (et al.) in immaculate client-ready order.

Innovation: You will be responsible for innovating within PR; maintaining THINKHOUSE’s reputation for progressive, effective, world-class PR.

Effectiveness: You will be responsible for developing case studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of your team’s work.
