JOB ALERT: Client Service Account Director - Tech and Retail

THINKHOUSE’s Client Service team is growing and we’re on the hunt for exciting new talent to join us in the next stage of our adventure. This is a position open to experienced Client Leaders with specific experience in the Tech or Retail categories in marketing and communications. The successful candidate will lead and guide our clients through their creative comms and strategic work specifically in these areas and experience across various brands and services is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the tech or retail category ideally at a multi-disciplinary level across all media. They will have a proven track record of running successful campaigns in the tech or retail sector and having big brand experience will be an advantage. They must demonstrate a strong understanding of, or ability to, direct effectiveness measurement in the category. A passion for new business development and a proven ability to work alongside the senior leadership team to develop new business in the area of tech or retail will be required.

OUR TEAM

Our Client Service team is creative, strategically minded, super organised has a collaborative spirit and has the client relationship at the heart of everything that we do. You will be joining a high-functioning team who are already driving national and globally, culturally relevant TRANSFORMATION, PLANET and FAME services for our clients. You will have a passion for sustainable and purposeful practice in tech services and/or Retail or eComm businesses and categories; ideally (but not limited to) working in partnership with leading brands and organisations, including BCorps, with net zero targets and social-justice missions.

The Client Service team sits in the heart of the other THINKHOUSE services including Creative, Film, Copywriting, Creative Innovation and Technology, Planning and Insights, Social and Digital, Events and PR – all of which are inspired by and/or delivered by the next generation of creative thinkers.

THE MUST-HAVES

1: A Resilient and agile mindset

This role, like all roles in Thinkhouse, requires an agile, open mindset. This agility is essential for the nimbleness we pride ourselves on. We’ve done away with the rigidity of traditional agency and production house structures and every member of the team leans in to get the job done. This brings our clients, and brands, a more open-minded creative approach and capability. It also provides a rich learning environment for professionals eager to consistently innovate their practice.

The role is fast-paced and involves being able to handle multiple projects at once, within an environment that encourages growth and development.

2: An innovative thinker

The right candidate will be an innovative thinker, always on the cutting edge of the marketing world. They will be highly self-motivated and have a strong grasp of account management of top-level clients and brands and youth culture. Experience in independent account leadership and business development in the tech and retail sector is key.

3: Team Player and a Leader

The candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can develop trusted relationships by working with our leading marketing experts to deliver world-class, client-focused solutions. Our clients include some of the world’s biggest brands across multiple sectors including food & drink, services, retail, tech, services, finance, not-for-profit, and lifestyle. The winning candidate will work within our agency’s interdisciplinary team and will contribute to the continued improvement of our agency’s offering with a focus on their area of expertise in the tech and retail sector.

4: Experience and Expertise in the Tech and/or Retail sector

Proven experience working in a creative agency where you can demonstrate strong working relationships both internally and across your client base. Ability to influence and oversee the creative process from strategy and ideation to delivery and results. Experience managing a team of Account managers and Account Executives to deliver all outcomes. An appetite for new business and growth and developing new ideas for our existing clients. Financial literacy is a must as the candidate must prove their ability to oversee all creative and commercial requirements for your assigned accounts and brands.
