Creative Ireland - Cruinniú na nÓg at Áras an Uachtaráin

To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland's national day of free creativity for children and young people, Creative Ireland wanted to showcase the power of young voices and the importance of making creativity visible at the highest level.

THINKHOUSE captured the moment as young people from across Ireland presented a hand-decorated football and letter to President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin, celebrating Cruinniú na nÓg, after the President’s football skills were revealed during her presidential campaign.

Filled with artwork, messages and reflections from children and young people nationwide, the football became a powerful symbol of creativity, imagination, connection and community ahead of the national celebration.

Through social-first storytelling, the content celebrated the voices of Ireland's next generation while encouraging families to discover and take part in more than 1,000 free Cruinniú na nÓg events taking place across the country, reinforcing the message that creativity belongs to everyone.
